Butch Goette, CEO
Butch joined Sage Insurance in February of 1998, assuming ownership in February of 2000.  He previously held the position of vice president of marketing for Northern Insuring Agency, Plattsburgh, NY where he started his career in 1977.  He has held positions on regional and national advisory boards for numerous insurance companies, including USF&G, Royal Insurance, CNA Insurance, the New York Schools Insurance Reciprocal and the New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal.  Butch holds a Bachelors Degree in history and Masters Degree in education from St. Lawrence University.

Julie Hammond, CIC, President
Julie joined Sage Insurance in 1993. She has been in the insurance industry since 1985. She was recognized as Insurance Woman of the Year in 1995 by the Insurance Association of Central Oregon. In February 2000, Julie was appointed Vice President of Operation and in January 2007 assumed the role of President.  She holds a Bachelors Degree in management from Linfield College.

Patricia
Patty Clark, Commercial Agent
Patty assumed her current position in March 1996.  She is licensed in both Property/Casualty and Health.  Patty entered the insurance industry in 1986 and has a diverse group of clients.  Her specialty is Agri-business, Farm/Ranch and Equine Mortality.  Her family's long history in ranching has made this area of insurance a perfect fit for her.

Dawn
Dawn Clark, Employee Benefits Specialist
With 17 years of experience in the health insurance industry, Dawn's area of expertise is Employee Benefits.  Her goal is to assist employers in evaluating their employee benefit package, to help meet their specific needs. These plans may include medical, dental, vision, EAP, cafeteria plans, Health Savings Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements.  Dawn's extensive background working for insurance carriers gives her a unique advantage in assisting her clients.

Steve Jeter, LUTCF, Personal Risk Manager
Steve joined Sage Insurance in 2007.  He has been working in the insurance industry in Oregon since 1984.  Steve is licensed in Property/Casualty and Life/Health, and earned the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow designation in 1991.  Steve's specialty is working with the personal insurance needs of his clients using his experience to help select the best coverage for each client.

Michelle Lauerman, CIC, Commercial Agent
Michelle joined Sage Insurance in 2007.  She previously worked for Sage as a Commercial Lines specialist from 2000-2004 and left to work as a Sales & Marketing manager for a local Insurance Company.  She has been in the Insurance Industry since 1999 and received her Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 2003.  Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University.

Jessie Telford
Jessie Telford, Commercial Agent
Jessie joined Sage Insurance to support its rapidly expanding farm and agri-business, specializing in insurance for horse mortality, farm and agri-business.  Having been raised working on her family ranch and through her experience competing professionally in rodeos and futurities throughout the United States, she possesses a unique understanding for the needs of her clients.  Jessie is located in Sage's new office in Caldwell, Idaho, where she resides with her husband, who is recognized as one of the top cow horse trainers in the West.

Michelle Thomas, Employee Benefits, Life, Disability and Long Term Care Specialist
Michelle joined Sage Insurance in 2007 to grow the Health, Life and Disability department; working to offer solutions to both individuals and groups.  In addition to coordinating your group health benefits Michelle specializes in addressing the needs of business owners via Buy-Sell Agreements, Key Man Insurance, Deferred Compensation funding mechanisms as well as a complete Disability offering.  Michelle has 15 years experience in meeting the needs of small and large business owners alike.

Michelle Wolfe, CISR, Personal Risk Manager
Michelle joined Sage Insurance in May 1997.  Prior to this, she was an insurance agent in Arizona.  Michelle specializes in Personal Lines Insurance and is licensed in Property/Casualty and Life/Health and has her certificate as a Certified Insurance Service Representative.  Her 21 years of insurance experience is a great asset as she works with her clients coordinating the appropriate coverage that best fits their needs.

Dick Burke
Dick Burke, RHU, CSA, Employee Benefits Specialist
Dick joined Sage Insurance in April 2008, after spending several years with agencies in MI and IA.  He holds both Certified Senior Advisor and Registered Health Underwriter accreditations.  Dick's primary focus is Medicare consulting, Long Term Care placement, group benefits, and life, health and disability products.  Dick holds both B.S. and M.S. degrees from upstate New York colleges.

Suki joined the Sage Insurance team in March 2008 specializing in Commercial Lines.  Bringing 9+ years experience with her, Sukie has a broad commercial lines background.  She is currently working on her Certified Insurance Counselor, CIC designation and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from San Jose State University, CA.  Suki enjoys working closely with Agents on their accounts.  Her professionalism and hard working attitude is a reflection of her commitment to provide the most comprehensive coverages and the best customer service possible to all of her clients.

Amanda joined Sage Insurance in November of 2007.  Her background in customer service and attention to detail makes her a great asset to the department.  Amanda is dedicated to providing our Account Managers and Agents any assistance they need to provide the highest level of customer service for our clients.

Colleen Horton, Bookkeeper
In 2007 Colleen joined Sage Insurance after providing contracted bookkeeping services to Sage Insurance since August 2004.  Colleen brings with her 9 years of experience in bookkeeping and human resource.  Prior to her employment with the CPA firm, she was employed by an insurance agency for 9 years where she held a license in Property/Casualty Insurance and worked in the accounting and IT department.

Laura Dudley, Receptionist
Laura joined the Sage team in 2006 with 20 years experience as Receptionist.  Hers is the helpful voice that greets you on the phone and the friendly smile you see at the front desk.  In addition to assisting customers she is responsible for purchasing, document processing, secretarial and administrative support to all departments.
